Steve Lacy's Demo EP

Producer, musician, singer, songwriter and all-around cool guy Steve Lacy released his first solo project to date, and this kak is oozing potential. The homie dropped us with that soulful "make you go tiep" vocals that take you straight back to Thanksgiving after your mom's boentjie curry and ouma's lekker comatose oven baked milk tart. This shit's subtle enough to have you screaming with your inside voice for more. Former member of the band "The Internet", 19 year old Lacy, has worked with the likes of "Kung Fu Kenny" to say the least, and has definitely shown us that he is more than an in the background cook fokol, but wash the dishes type of guy with this latest project of work. Giving us thirteen minutes of pure classic Southern funk and an after the shift spliff type of soulful delight.
