Slowthai | North Nights

Following our last conversation regarding the Northampton Grime artist, Slowthai has released the music video for his song North Nights. Demonstrating his unique ability to adapt to a wide sphere of different sounds, Slowthai manages to almost conduct the dry sounding boom-bap instrumental of this song with his vocals using the classic like beat as a slingshot for a medley of multiple flows, attacking the listener with aggressive vocals yet subtly conveying the idea with ease as he does so often. He moves effortlessly across the space of double-time and half speed rhymes, almost Humpty Dumptying over the beat, leaving the listener anticipating a crack within the song itself, but somehow always maintaining a steady pace to keep the listener well............listening.
