In a move from her style of acoustic almost antifolk-esque music similar to that of Daniel Johnston and Kimya Dawson, Clairo dropped a bomb on the internet last year august; A great, modernised, blend of early vapour-wave aesthetics and sounds accompanied by fresh sounding, soft happy/sad lyrics.‘Pretty Girl’ hit the world and the world couldn’t say no. Pretty girl was a great single but who would’ve expected her other releases to blow up so easily. Maintaining the style and execution we loved in ‘pretty girl’, Clairo was able to create stunning projects past the viral sensation such as; flaming hot Cheetos, 4ever & Hello? Keeping fans interested and mesmerised. Her ability to remain relevant to the lives of her listeners through the experiences and emotions she portrays in her music is what keeps her going, and as she prepares for her world tour ‘lazy days’ it is obvious that she is force to be reckoned with in the pop indie scene.
