Slowthai - Grime Music's Newest Prodigy

Northampton born and raised Mc Slowthai is doing the rounds speaker-wise with a new-wave of rebellious culture within the not so broad spectrum that is the genre known as Grime.

With a clear crisp flow and overly distorted beats slowthai is bringing about a new found feel to the genre that originally emerged within the streets of London in the early 2000's, taking a spin on the already wildly experimental sound that comes with Grime Hip-hop and it's influencers from its electronic music roots, including UK garage, dancehall, to ragga the rapper has managed to create his own sub-genre within the already acclaimed genre itself. The 22-year-old rapper originally got his stage name from "mandem" calling him slow after they had noticed how he mumbles his words at times. Taking a weakness and exploiting it for strength Slowthai decided to use his mumble to his advantage utilising it to create a distinct flow, one that perfectly matches the distorted beats he spits over.

Even so without all the extra's the message, ideologies, and pure rawness that the MC brings to the table still remains. Nevertheless anyone that has been keeping a peeping eye on the ever so growing British rap scene has definitely come across Tyron. From a city 67 miles away from London where the Grime scene is widely represented on it's numorous platforms; the 22-year-old has managed to submerge from humble beginnings and is on the shortcoming to bridging his path to a successful career in the industry. Mixing the grittier side of life with aesthetically pleaseful commentary and an untouched style, and turbulent vocals making every hit this young MC drops a banger in its own right. expressing a dark atmospheric reverberation, in a fashion suited to his sometimes quirky step. His vocals sometimes protracted but allowing the register of his energy to be introverted by his artistic expression, which says enough as it is.
